Description
The Pyraplex is a family-friendly board game created by the publisher Fun Genie Games. This game offers a unique strategy and experience, while still being accessible to both kids and adults alike. Players assume the roles of rival architects competing to build and expand the great, 3-dimensional city of The Pyraplex. The game is played on a modular, 3-dimensional game board, comprised of interlocking structures called Pyralene Tiles. Players race to build the most impressive structure, while collecting resources and trading commodity tokens.
Each round consists of 4 phases: Resource Harvest, Market, Negotiation, and Building. In the Resource Harvest phase, players roll dice and collect the requisite resources from around the board. Then, each player has the opportunity to sell and trade resource tokens in the Market phase. The Negotiation phase allows players to barter for resources and tokens in order to gain an advantage. Finally, in the Building phase, players construct buildings using city tiles and resource tokens, earning points if their buildings are higher than everyone else’s or if they meet specific conditions.
The Pyraplex game is fast-paced and highly interactive, where alliances will be formed, deals made, and the highest structure will be declared the winner! It encourages players to develop their creativity and strategic skills as they explore the many possibilities. As a bonus, it allows players of all ages to explore 3-dimensionality and develop spatial reasoning skills.
