Description

Targets is a dice-based game that is easy to learn and requires minimal materials. Each player takes their turn by throwing a six-sided dice and proceeds to the indicated space on the board, according to the number that appears. The game board consists of a track in the form of a square of ninety squares and nine grid points of colored targets for each player.

Players aim to hit all nine targets by landing on their respective coordinates. The first player to make all nine successful hits wins the game. Players take turns rolling the die and moving their colored markers ahead or back to a target’s position. If a player lands on someone else’s target, they must go back to their original space. Players can even “try their luck again” by throwing the dice again after they make a mistake. The game is suitable for two to four players, and the duration of the game can last anywhere from five to forty-five minutes, depending on the players’ skills.

Despite its simplistic rules, Targets can be quite a nail-biting challenge as one wrong move can undo all your progress for the duration of the game. It is a great game for everyone, easy enough for children and still tricky enough to challenge adults.
