Description
Pentiment is a unique and challenging game from the Golden era of board games. The objective of the game is to be the first player to rearrange the board tiles into a sentence. The board is composed of several numbered and lettered tiles that are arranged randomly at the beginning of the game. Players take turns rearranging the tiles, trying to make a sentence out of them. The first player to successfully turn the tiles into a sentence is the winner.
Adding to the challenge of the game is that each player has a limited time to move their tiles. If a player doesn’t move their tiles within the allowed time, their turn ends and the next player continues. Players can also take a step back and undo their moves at any time in the game, a move called ‘pentiment’. This element adds to the strategic thinking required to win the game, as a player must carefully consider what new words or phrases creations each move will bring about.
The game requires both creativity and logic, as well as some knowledge of English grammar. Any player who enjoys word games and puzzles will love Pentiment.
