Killing Floor 2 Polar Distress is a special event game mode in the popular horror shooter Killing Floor 2. It takes place in the abandoned arctic base of Horzine Tech, where players must use their survival skills to battle hordes of menacing Zeds. Players begin in a bleak, abandoned base littered with weapons and equipment. They must scour the facility for resources and fight off waves of relentless, dangerous Zeds. With each wave, players must survive and see who can make it through the longest. As players progress, the difficulty increases exponentially, with new and powerful bosses coming into play.
Killing Floor 2 Polar Distress allows for up to six players in online, asynchronous or split-screen co-op. Players must coordinate and communicate with one another to survive the intense and powerful Zeds. Managing resources and working as a team is crucial to success. Players also have the option of customizing their loadout with dozens of weapons and upgrades, like explosives and special perks. Players are also given special Dark Drifter-exclusive weapons and pads to boost their powers.
At the end of each run, players will be awarded an ice object, tying in with the theme of the event. These serve as bonus rewards, granting players special cosmetic items for their characters and accounts. Killing Floor 2 Polar Distress provides an exciting and intense challenge for players, and rewards those who bravely face the enemies of Horzine Tech.
