Description
GRIME is an action-adventure game developed by A Jolly Corpse and published by Devolver Digital. It is an open-world title with physics-based combat system, dungeons and puzzles to solve. It fuses elements of side-scrolling platforming, 3D combat and role-playing.
Players control the main protagonist, Muldroog, who has the capability of controlling the power of the four elements – earth, fire, storm and life. Each element has its own set of moves and abilities which can be used for defeating enemies, navigating the world and solving puzzles. Muldroog is accompanied by a robotic companion called GAC, who can be used to upgrade and customize the abilities of Muldroog throughout the game.
Players explore the game’s world through its procedurally generated levels and dungeons. These areas can pose various challenges, including puzzles and enemies to be defeated. Throughout the world, players collect elemental orbs, which serve as resources for upgrading Muldroog’s abilities. GRIME also features a crafting system, which allows players to combine obtainable resources to create new items such as weapons and armor. There is no dedicated quest-line in the game, though certain feats unlock optional content. Overall, the game has a total of 20 dungeons and bosses, each requiring the player to use Muldroog’s strategy and skills to overcome the obstacles.
