Captain of Industry: Insula Mortis is a strategic card game that takes place on an abandoned island. In the game, you play as a captain of industry and you are tasked with finding a way to turn the island’s resources into wealth. The goal of the game is to be the first player to build enough factories to generate enough resources and money to pay off the island’s debt. Along the way, you must manage risk, make deals with other players, expand your factories, and find ways to outwit your opponents.

Each turn, players can build factories from four types of resources that are found in various places on the island. Once you have built a factory you must make sure to keep it running by feeding it resources and money. You can also take on risk by purchasing additional resources and factory upgrades. Deal-making comes in to play as players can negotiate with each other to buy and sell factories, resources, and upgrade tiles. Furthermore, special events can occur throughout the game and throw a wrench into the strategies of players.

Players must use their creativity and cunning to find the most efficient and effective way to build their factories and make the most money within 10 rounds of the game.
