Description
Astroneer is a space-themed sandbox adventure game developed by System Era Softworks. It was released for Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2016 and PlayStation 4 in 2019.
The game focuses on the player’s role as an astronaut (or “astronaut”) who explores and collects resources on planets in a solar system in search of a lucrative goal. Players can customize their astronaut before they start their journey, and create and customize their base as they earn money. The player’s job is to explore, collaborate and survive dangerous environments as they use resources scattered throughout the solar system to construct and explore.
To achieve their goals, players must survive on three different planets while managing their oxygen and power levels and gaining access to advanced technology and upgrades. Players can craft items, research new technologies, and build custom bases, as well as build automated vehicles in order to traverse the landscape. Astroneer also features cooperative play, allowing up to four friends to explore the universe together. With a unique art style, vibrant colors, and realistic physics, Astroneer provides a unique and visually stimulating experience for players.
